Email Setup For Outlook Express (Windows)

Summary
This document explains how to setup Outlook Express with your SureWest service. You can use other software to read and send email such as Star Office, Eudora, Outlook XP or many others.
Details
Step 1: Double-click the Outlook Express Icon similar to the one pictured below:
Step 2: From the Tools Menu select AccountsÂ
Step 3: From the Internet Accounts window, select the Add button and then MailÂ

Step 4: Type your name as you would like it to appear when sending email to others. Click the Next button to continue.
Step 5: Internet E-mail Address
Type in your SureWest Trailblazer email address and then click the Next button to go to the next step.

Step 6: Enter the E-mail Server Names
- Incoming mail server = POP3.
- In the Incoming mail server = pop3.everestkc.net.
- Outgoing mail server = smtp.everestkc.net.
- Click the Next button to go to the next step.

Step 7: Internet Mail Logon window
- Your account name is your e-mail address.
- Type in the password to your email account in the Password field. If you would like Outlook Express to remember your password, check the Remember password box.
- Do not check the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box as this password authentication scheme is not used with SureWest Trailblazer service.
- Click the Next button to go to the next step.

Step 8: Finished!
Click the Finish button to complete the setup process. Click the Close button to close out the Internet Accounts window. You're account is now setup in Outlook Express. To add another account, repeat each step listed above.
