This information applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 98
- Microsoft Windows Millenium Edition
- Microsoft Windows NT
- Microsoft Windows 2000
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows 2003
Summary
- An SureWest installer is dispatched to place a cable modem outlet in the room where your personal computer is located or to certify that an existing outlet is Trailblazer ready.
- A coax cable will then be run from the cable modem outlet to the cable modem, a small piece of hardware that will sit near your computer.
- Professional SureWest installers will take care of all your installation needs, including providing and installing a Network Interface Card.
It is recommended that you back up your computer prior to installation. With the professional installation of your Trailblazer service, a trained computer technician will install the Ethernet card, if necessary, as well as any software needed to access the Internet. An in-home tutorial by an SureWest installer is also part of your Trailblazer service.
